Former Chief Secretary - Government of Andhra PradeshNeerabh Kumar Prasad is former Chief Secretary Andhra Pradesh. He belonged to the IAS 1987 Batch, Andhra Pradesh cadre. In his 38 years of service, he has had multi-disciplinary exposure across many departments and held many important assignments in Government of Andhra Pradesh dealing with industries, infrastructure, urban development, environment and climate change and tourism. He was involved with marquee projects like the Hi-Tech City Project, Outer Ring Road, and Clean Hussainsagar Project, PPP projects in Tourism and Road Sectors, Preparation of Hyderabad Master Plan 2013, AP Shore Management Project, updated Coastal Regulation Zone Plans and State Action Plan on Climate Change. He has worked in Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India and was instrumental in formulation and enactment of Competition Act, 2002 and setting up of Competition Commission of India. He has been member in Corporate Governance Reform Committees. He was also instrumental in amendments in ICAI, ICSI, ICWAI Acts to bring in accountability and high corporate governance norms in the professional bodies. He has keen eyes for problem identification, analysis and out of box solutions. He is B. Tech from IIT Delhi, PGDM from IIM Bangalore and Masters in Public Policy from Princeton University, USA.
